Summary
Kaskaskia Engineering Group, LLC (KEG) was contracted by the Missouri Department of Transportation to provide environmental services and Phase II design plans for approximately 34 miles of rural roadway resurfacing in the MoDOT Southeast District. The project included 12 miles of resurfacing on Route V from Route 34 to Route A; 8 miles of resurfacing on Route B, from Route 34 to Route U; and 14 miles of resurfacing on Route Z from Route D to Route P.
Project
The Phase II construction plans included opinions of probable cost, preliminary plans, final construction plans, job special provisions, and bid documents. Preliminary design plans included a title sheet, typical section sheets, special detail sheets, and a preliminary opinion of probable cost. Plans also included the determination of right of way, guardrail length at bridge ends, drainage facilities, and other roadway design features used by MoDOT to coordinate with property owners.
Final plans included a detailed traffic control plan conforming to the requirements of the MUTCD and the MoDOT Engineering Policy Guide. Additional construction staging at some entrances was required in the plans.
