Summary
Kaskaskia Engineering Group, LLC (KEG) was responsible for the preliminary and final design and plan development for the replacement of the bridge carrying Troy O’Fallon Road over Mill Creek (IDOT Structure Number 060-3373) in Madison County, Illinois.
Project
This project involved removing the existing 3-span bridge to construct a new single-span replacement bridge. The new bridge consists of a concrete deck carrying a 40-foot-wide roadway on 30-inch deep wide-flange steel beams spaced at 7’-3”. The superstructure is supported by integral abutments on driven H-Piles. The construction was staged to allow the roadway to remain open during construction.
KEG prepared detailed plans, special provisions, and cost estimates for the structural replacement.
