Summary
Kaskaskia Engineering Group, LLC (KEG) staff provided full-time construction inspection (Title II) services for the repairs to the existing perimeter fence at Scott Air Force Base. The project involved the installation of new fencing; removal of overgrown vegetation within the existing fence; and clearing and grubbing of dense brush along the fence line.
Project
KEG staff observed tests conducted at the project site and maintained records and reports on the tests performed; reviewed shop drawings and made recommendations for approval; maintained project files that included correspondence, reports, shop drawings, journals, contract modifications, memoranda, and drawings issued as part of the contract work; assisted the contractor with obtaining any digging permits; developed construction punch list, ensured that all deficiencies were corrected, attended final inspections, and made recommendations for final acceptance; observed the construction schedule and conditions for project completion; attended meetings held at the project site and all meetings related to the construction of the project to keep the project on schedule; and obtained a listing of all materials covered by warranties.
This project was a task order for the Small Business set aside Architectural and Engineering (A/E) services, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) that KEG was awarded from the Air Mobility Command.
