Summary
Kaskaskia Engineering Group, LLC (KEG) prepared Plans, Specifications, and Estimates for the replacement of 58 ADA corners at 31 intersections as part of an overall resurfacing of approximately 6 miles of Touhy Avenue. The project is located near Park Ridge, Illinois in Cook County.
Project
In accordance with the Bureau of Design and Environment Manual, the corners were designed per the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) ADA Guidelines and Highway Standards.
The full scope of work consisted of preparing a removal plan and providing ADA ramp design within the project corridor, and incorporated the following items of work:
- Field reconnaissance
- Review and inventory of existing information
- Designed and prepared ramp plan sheets
- Prepared project-specific special provisions
- Provided schedules, quantities, and estimates
In addition to the design work, “Maximum Extent Possible” (MEPs) summaries were prepared and presented to IDOT for 6 ADA corners.
